I just put laundry in and hope it will be done in time to catch Hero at 3:20 at Century Theaters in Roseville.
Kind of nice to have a day off... my last was 9 days ago. This week, since my family left, has intermittantly dragged on and flew by.
I missed most of John McCain's speech last night. I was initially quite disturbed that someone I respect and would love to have as president was going to stand up and praise Bush. I caught some of the highlights this morning. In the highlights he didn't praise any of the qualities of Bush that I hate. So.. I still respect McCain and hate Bush. On NPR this morning they mentioned that the 1st lady will be speaking tonight and that she has much higher approval rating that W. I would have to agree. I like her a lot more than I like him.
Just before the beginning of McCains speech on NPR last night they mentioned that Micheal Moore was at the convention and that the Secret Service was isolating him from reporters for 'safety reasons'. What the heck is that about? The Secret Service are suppose to help keep the Pres, et al, alive. If they thought Moore was going to assassinate him the would have jumped him/shot him/etc. Are they afraid the truth might be spoken at the convention and all of the sudden everyone would attack the village idiot(w)? I don't even think he was there last night.
