About an hour later Kari called me back. I was great to hear from her. We lost touch back in 94 or so when I transfered to a different college and her parents moved out of the neighborhood. She got married right after college, to my dismay. While I'd had a crush on her for 10 years or so, I'd never managed to date her after we became friends. We have quite a lot in common, but quite a lot of differences too. I think our opinions are very similar but our skills sets quite diverse. She's always been into English and liberal arts, while I've always been into science, math, and now computers. I think we could have formed a wonderful "team". The crush got quite bad back in 11th grade when we were in all the same classes and she sat next to me in Chemistry, where I excelled and she floundered. It was difficult to try to impress her, while not making her feel bad, etc.
Kari told me that her husband left in august, though she is not divorced yet. She seemed okay with it, so I was unsure if I should say "I'm sorry". Not that I had anything to do with it, but that I was sympathic about her loss.
The baby is sleeping much better, but it is still disruptive to have a baby sleeping in the room with us. We are planning on heading into boston this saturday to harass Phil and look around/shop/etc. With any luck it won't be cold/raining/snowing/etc.
