With everyone sick and the weather quite rainy yesterday, we pretty much stayed inside. Aiyre and I hit B&N, where we saw Rob Uccello(et al). We also hit the pet store to check out their birdies and fish and stuff, as well as the supermarket for cereal and to return bottles. Busy busy.

Yesterday afternoon, Aiyre starts asking to go outside. Well.. no. It is raining. Then she says something like rainbow. Ah.. little girls. Okay. We went out and stood on the front stoop and looked at the rainbow, which want any more impressive than it would have been through the fron window. My feet got wet... I should have worn shoes.

I feel mostly better today, but my stomach is still messed up and gurgly as things churn on through.

Our policy at work puts Vacation Time and Sick Time into the same pot. This encourages people to come into work sick, so they don't lose vacation time.

So.. I catch stuff from my co-workers. Likewise, Aiyre catches stuff from several classes of kids at school(her normal group and her inclusion group and whoever is on the playground). Evan now goes to playground too, so he gets exposed to half a dozen or so 2 year olds, etc.

We are a conflux of diseases. Perhaps one of the kids worships the god of disease.

Same here with PTO. I get 120 hours PTO a year, plus two floating holidays.

With my immune system, I can shrug certain bugs off like water, but there are a few that will knock me on my arse. The last flu bug to go around was one example where I felt like hell for days.

Yeah, if it were not for weekends, I'd be down quite a bit of vacation time. So far, most of the bugs have hit me just before or on the weekend, so I got two 'free' days.

Heh... but you have a wasted weekend...
