So, we found out yesterday that Evan could climb out of his crib. Doh. He could climb up and onto the adjacent dresser. So, for last night we moved the dresser further away. This morning I rearranged his room and took the side off the crib.

He must of spent a hour climbing in and out of his new bed this morning. Great fun. I put the futon pad down on the floor in front of the crib so that he wouldn't hurt himself too bad if he rolled out of bed.

If only he'd start talking.

Yep. Marcus did the same thing one morning... and walked all the way across the flat to the bedroom where I was getting dressed for the day. Startled the hell out of me to see this little figure in blue standing there laughing.

We figured out how he did it -- he used the adjacent dresser. As we had nowhere to move it at the time, we put up some shelf boards blocking his access.

He still has the full crib. We'll change that once we get his room rearranged.

He's getting used to the new setup. Emily says he actually took a nap today. He did seem to sleep the whole night, though neither of us would risk going in to see where he was sleeping. For all we know he's sleeping on the floor or the futon.
