We're back! Okay, we got back at like 12:30 from The Walk for Hunger. Aiyre made it 5 miles to the second checkpoint and probably could have made the third checkpoint except for the lake. The second checkpoint was right at the reservoir. All she wanted to do was sit and throw stones in the water. I could get her to move.

I know for next year that the Green Line Riverside line runs to the reservoir as well as the Cleveland Circle line. We went back to Kenmore to switch from C to D to come home because I didn't know the other line was right there. Oh well.

We hit Friendly's for lunch and we've been chillin at him since. I didn't see anyone I knew at the Walk, but I did see quite a few Raytheon shirts. It was quite cold and windy. We got warm enough to take off our coats a couple times, but usually only for a couple minutes before we had to put them back on.

Re: Walk for Hunger...

OK, so let's see...you made 5 miles out of 20. My donation of $25 was based on $1.25 a mile. Given my generous nature I'll say that I sponsored both you and Aiyre, (now 10 miles total). So by my calculations you now only owe me $12.50. I'll sign this anonymous posting so you'll know who to make the check out to. – Norm.

I guess you should have signed up on a per-mile basis then, instead you signed up for a flat donation. We didn't have to walk at all to get your money. Actually... most of the money collected was that way. Only Raytheon and Emily's parents decided to donate on per-mile basis.

Talk about cheap in-laws...

I think they just decided to do whatever Raytheon did.

Well OK..you (The Walk for Hunger) can keep the $25. Maybe next year I'll sponsor you on a per mile basis for something like $5 per mile and then you'll feel compelled to walk the whole 20 miles just to make me spend the 5 table dances worth!!!

Hey Phil, did your friends go to the Crystal Palace because they were entertaining the idea of becoming performers? If so they could come by my place and audition for me and with my extensive experience in this field I could give them an idea of their potential !!!
