Odds

Against all odds, Raytheon released 4th quarter profits and suchs. Looked like good news and the stock went UP! Normally it drops, but for some reason this time it went up. Only about 66 cents per share (just over 1%). Maybe I mis-read the news or the investment community did?

They also released some climate change informational reports today which claim that humans are causing global warming. My gosh! W was wrong again? Not possible.

Either that or someone had the chart rotated 90 degrees so it looked like it went up instead of down... :)

On the global warming front... let's not forget that this planet is still coming out of an ice age... What's going to happen several thousand years from now when it starts getting colder? Is someone going to put out a Nobel Prize-winning movie concerning global cooling?

From memory...

The 'data' I've always seen quoted showed IceAges about every 10k years. On their chart it had been about 12K since the last one, which actually showed we were overdue for one.

I think an IceAge would be bad for the species too.

Of course as part of global warming is the more important global climate pattern changes. This area may become a desert, in which case there would be no water to boat on.

In anycase, they are talking about a few degrees here and there adding up to maybe 5 degress(C) by the end of the century. If you want to boat in March you should move further south. When I spoke to my father in Florida, over xmas, he mentioned that he'd had his boat out the day before.

You ever consider moving to Kentucky? Your political views would allow you to fit in better.
