Of course, the law has not been passed by the senate and signed but, the house passed a law to prohibit banks and credit card companies from making payments to on-line gambling sites. They can make payments to 'brick and mortar' gambling sites. Why not internet? Sure gambling is addictive. So?

Why can credit card companies make payments to internet tobacco sales sites? Tobacco is addictive too. Why? I would guess that the indian casinos have effective lobbyists, or the tobacco industry gets worse press.

Why do they feel this is the most critical item facing the nation? Do they not work on the most important things first? Who sets the agenda?
