Lawful Evil

Well, its Friday. I guess that means its one day closer to my next day off. I got to the point last night that I could not charge the hours I've worked because I'm only authorized for 60 per week. *sigh*

I would like to send my thanks to Jodi Lamparter, a former resident of 174 South O Street in Lincoln, for signing up with Victoria's Secret to receive their catalog by mail. :)

Okay, we are lossing jobs in the US of A. What can we do about that? We can insist on 'Made in the USA' products. We can insist on more complete labels for things not labeled. What do I mean...

Lets take a can of campbells soup, say beef barley. Where was the beef raised? Where was the barley grown? Where were the contents mixed, cooked, etc.? Where was the can made? Where was the steel/aluminium mined? Where was the label printed? Where was the ink for the label produced? Where was the paper for the label produced? Where was the tree which was killed to make the label for that can of soup? Where was the ink for the label produced?

I doubt if all of those could be answered US of A. Why aren't products labeled. I would love to pay a little more for products made totally in the US of A. I know that in the long run it will cost me less to use those products. Less I say. Why? I will not have to pay as much into unemployment insurance. I will not have to pay as much into social security/medicare/etc. I will not have to pay as much federal or state taxes. Why? Because so many more people will be working, that the burden per person will be much less.

Right now there isn't much you can do because things are not labeled. Write your representitives in congress. Push for this. Give yourself the information to make the right choice. Write to the manufactures, write to campbells. Ask them. Okay I'm done ranting.

Today is laundry day! I've been piling my dirty laundry into an unused closet because it was stinking up my room. Boy, does the closest stink now? Yes it does! Stinky stinky stinky...
