Support Equality

Anti-equality activists are turning up the heat on legislators who have taken a principled stand to protect marriage equality. Legislators have already voted to end debate on this issue, but our opponents want to force yet another vote on January 2nd. Last weekend, they rallied in Springfield, Barnstable and New Bedford. This weekend they'll be in Worcester.

This Saturday, they'll rally at 1:30 PM outside Worcester City Hall. We cannot let them go unanswered. Please join us and other Worcester area supporters of equality to proclaim your support for equal marriage rights and for legislators' action to end debate.

Saturday, December 16th
1:30 PM
Worcester City Hall

Bring your homemade sign in support of equality and the 109 legislators who took a stand against discrimination. The event will not last long, so please take an hour or two out of your day and stand up to those who oppose equal rights.

Come out and show your support for equality! And bring your friends and family members to help demonstrate strong support for marriage equality!

Marriage(Gay vs Straight)

Just to clarify my views... I am not a supporter of gay marriage. I am a supporter of equality. I think the government should get out of the marriage business altogether and give it back over to the religious institutions.

For legal purposes, I think the government should offer civil unions to 2 or more consenting adults, which is really just a bundle of contracts and legal agreements. I don't see any reason to restrict these contracts to opposite sex pairs, or even to pairs at all. If 3 or 4 people want to enter into one of these contracts, so be it, let them.
