I'll have to back post some vacation stuff when I get a chance...

For now... NY courts decide Gay Marriage not legal.. Too bad. Interestingly CNN had a quote from Kathy in Schenectady. Not the Kathy I know though.

"It's a sad day for New York families," said plaintiff Kathy Burke of Schenectady, who is raising an 11-year-old son with her partner, Tonja Alvis. "My family deserves the same protections as my next door neighbors."

Marriage is just a legal contract between two people. I respect the state's right to regulate its own laws, I suppose the state might not have passed a marriage law at all. Given there is one, I think it is discriminatory to decide that the law can only occur between a man and a woman. Its like passing a law which prohibits automobile sales from man to man or woman to woman. Crazy.
