Torso

Long day

I've been told I can have the rest of the weekend off once I redo the dry runs of 9, 2 hour labs. Its looking like a long day. Hopefully everything works so I don't have to redo any of the failed labs. I've got to write 8 STRs when I get time as well.

The elevator has been out of service for the last several days. My legs are getting pretty tired of this built-in stair master feature. Some of the sudbury people are coming out on Monday for the training. I guess I can at least laugh at their strain on the stairs. Get myself a little Schadenfreude, which I know is wrong, but... what ya gonna do?

My Sims2 family started their first fire last night. 'Emily' was attempting to pick up a grocery delivery to the house just after putting a toaster pastry in the oven. The game wouldn't allow her to get the groceries over and over. As a result the pastry caught fire. Doh. If the autonomous actions of the sims would allow them to make breakfast for everyone instead of just for themselves, this kind of thing would not have happened. That is one bug that really pisses me off. That and my stupid dart board, which I emailed them about and they are in the process of fixing. Overall it is still a lot of fun.

slow going

I finally got contacted about the move back to Worcester. The guy had been provided some wrong information about the move. I corrected him, but he now has to go back to Raytheon to verify my information.

I've gotten through 4 and a half of the 9 labs so far today. My head is pounding. My legs are sore. Its going to be a long day.

They did put the elevator back in service today, but I haven't really been going up and down today because I've been stuck in the lab.

WTF?

What is up with the republicans? Doing voter registration drives and then destroying the forms of any democrats that signed up. They should be banned from politics. :)

Finished at last.

I finished all the labs. Home to bed. As I left the lab, I have to walk through the Air Force Missile Warning Operations Center. They are all sitting around watching The Last Samurai. I'll sleep much better knowing we are well protected. The movie is at the ending battle where the new Japanese military uses machine guns on the samurari. I muttered, "Just like the military to cheat". One of the airmen responded, "Yeah, the bastards."

Yeah!

A bunch of Divinity school professors have banded together to protest W's continueing insistance that the war in Iraq is doing Gods work. They find the comments offensive. The war is too full of things like revenge, greed, politics, corrupt businesses and such for anyone to even think that the moral issues are the driving factor in the war.
