Got my paycheck. It came in just under 25k. The 401k wasn't that bad, as I hit the yearly pre-tax limit before I hit the 14% amount. I maxed out my Social Security deduction for the year too(I still don't understand why there is a limit). As a result, my paychecks for the rest of the year will be bigger. I ended up paying a total of just over 14k in taxes on this paycheck.
We've been doing our best to convince people looking at the other 1/2 of our house, which is for sale, that it is over priced. They bought it in 99 for 115k and are now selling for 254k. Thats more than double. They haven't fixed or upgraded anything. The deck is falling apart, the roof leaks, the construction sucks.
